Let me introduce today the most popular Lebanese and Turkish dish: Shawarma
Ohh sorry, today it's about Moroccan Shawarma with Moroccan bread told "Batbout" and Handmade mixed spices!!!!
Moroccan Shawarma are really yummy and convenient for appetizers.
Moroccan Bread (Batbout):
- 250 g of flour
- 250 g of fine semolina
- 1 tsp baker's yeast
- some warm water
- Knead the ingredients into a dough manually for 20 minutes or in a food processor for 10 minutes.
- Put aside for at least 30 minutes
- Cook in a pan
Shawarma Filling:
- 2 onions
- 1 tomato
- Olives
- Meat or chicken breast
- Shawarma spices OR mix of handmade spices ( saffron, curcuma, salt, pepper)
- Garlic
- Ground nutmeg
- Olive oil
- 2 tsp of single cream
- Cut the veggies in small decies
- Mince and season the meat
- Simmer over low heat
- Add the single cream at the end
